About ESHRE 2022

European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) 38th Annual Meeting is organized by European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and will be held from Jul 03 - 06, 2022 at MiCo - Milano Convention Centre, Milan, Lombardia, Italy.
Milan provides a perfect environment for people and science to come together. It is connected to the rest of the world by three international/intercontinental airports and to Italian and European destinations by high-speed trains and an efficient motorway network. In just ten minutes two underground lines link the Milano Convention Center (MiCo), situated in the stunning modern district of Citylife, with the city centre.
Milan lies in the north of Italy, a country boasting the greatest concentration of Unesco World Heritage Sites. Its historical and cultural attractions have no equal: the universal genius of Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raffaello and Caravaggio, and Milan’s world-famous opera house the “Teatro alla Scala”, just to mention a few. Milan is also the beating heart of contemporary Italy, a world leader city in modern architecture, interior design, fashion and avantgarde cuisine.
Join the 2022 ESHRE meeting and enjoy the thrill of science and the magic of Milan and Italy.

History

The idea to create the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology was first conceived in Helsinki, where Professor R.G. Edwards, from Cambridge University, and Dr. Jean Cohen, from Paris, consulted their colleagues about the need to for a society that would stimulate the study and research in the field of reproductive medicine and science. Both the idea to establish such a society and the outcome of their meetings proved to be successful in many ways.
After several meetings it was decided that the Society should hold its first Annual Meeting in Bonn, 1985. On that occasion the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology was officially founded as a result of a broad and lively discussion during the first Annual General Meeting where delegates from all over Europe participated in the debates.
Since the early days, ESHRE gradually grew into the Society that we know today.
